Lasik or LASEK ?

Postby haider_aatish » Thu Jan 28, 2010 5:48 am

Hi,

I had PRK laser surgery for both of my eyes 4 year back. I have very good vision with 1 eye but the other eye's vision is not good and i feel that it is disturbing my overall vision so i want to have LASIK or LASEK/Epi-LASIK or any other solution.

I can come to any country to correct my vision.

Please see the ORBSCAN link that is given below and tell me what type of surgery i should use ? Also tell me if there is fear of ECTASIA or not after reading the report.

I shall be very much thankful to you for this.

The surface ablation techniques of PRK or LASEK would continue to be viable after having PRK. There was undoubtedly a reason your surgeon selected PRK in the first place, and that reason needs to be considered again. The only advantage of Lasik at this juncture would be a more rapid vision recovery, but that may not be worth the relative disadvantages for your specific circumstances.
