Crosslinking USA or Canada

Seeing that there is no time line for whats going to happen with crosslinking with in the US. Is there any issues with getting proceedures done in Canada? An if you insurace carrier would pay for intacs with in the US would that apply with intacs in Canada?

You would need to verify with your insurance carrier regarding payment for an elective surgery outside of the US. I suspect that if the cost is the same or less, they would be fine with you having Intacs outside the US.

Current corneal crosslinking techniques do not require extensive follow-up, so traveling for care is likely going to be okay, however you would want to coordinate a local eye doctor with the foreign eye doctor for your follow-up care.
