Getting the scoop on a doc

Postby littlebigmouth » Tue Mar 13, 2007 3:30 am

I finally found a doc that I like but am not sure how to get additional information about malpractice, etc. Any link I find on the NJ state medical board is dead or takes me nowhere. Any practical way to make sure I'm not trusting my eyes to someone I shouldn't?

We have a list of all US Medical Boards and the New Jersy link is active.

The court in the county where the doctor practices would have malpractice history. Look for successful claims over $50k. Unsuccessful claims indicate that there was no malpractice and insurance companies will often settle for under $50 as a "nusiance" claim regardless of fault (or not).

Don't forget the Better Business Bureau.
