I just had my 1 month post op appointmnet, and the doctor gave me contacts for remaining prescription which he put in. he said my eyes had healed enough to wear them. is 4 weeks really enough for this to be the case?

Yes, four weeks after Lasik can be enough time to wear contacts. Your eye doctor (I assume) would have examined the health of your corneas to be sure that all is okay.

Contact lenses can reshape the cornea and cause small irregularities. These irregularaties need to be resolved before having Lasik enhancement surgery. Expect to be required to be out of contacts for several days to weeks before having Lasik or Lasik enhancement.
