Glasses while healing

Postby Waiting » Tue Nov 06, 2007 1:38 am

Hi,
I think I saw this question addressed somewhere on the board but can't find it! Is it OK to wear the glasses my doctor prescribed for night driving during the day while my eyes are continuing to adjust after Lasik. I had my surgery on Oct. 5 and I'm doing well except one eye is blurrier than the other. Will wearing glasses interfere with the resolution of my eyes? (In other words, am I preventing them from adjusting to their maximum clarity by relying on the glasses to focus?)
Thanks again!!!

Using glasses as needed for optimum vision quality will not normally negatively affect your Lasik healing. About the only area where glasses may be a concern is if you were having Lasik eye strain due to accommodation issues, but even then there would be no real harm.
