FINALLY!!!!! An answer!

Postby BlueEyes » Fri May 29, 2009 2:42 pm

I have had extreme light sensivity which started about 4 weeks after my Lasik was done. My vision is great and my eyes are a little dry, but I can barely walk outside even on a cloudy day without having to squint and dealing with pain.

I just read about Transient Light Sensitivity Syndrome and it describes my problem perfectly. At least I know I'm not the only one that has experienced this, and the treatment is steroid drops, which my doctor has prescribed for me along with Restasis.

What a relief to finally put a name to it!!

Congrats! TLS occurs after All-Laser Lasik, which uses a femtosecond laser to create the Lasik flap. It does dissipate after time.
