What is the process actually like?

Postby The Pezman » Thu Nov 26, 2009 8:48 am

The idea of keeping your eyes open for over an hour while a bright laser is shined directly into them doesn't sound like the most appealing process. While many people have gotten the actual procedure done, I haven't heard much word on what it feels like in the moment. Are you strapped down to prevent accidental movement? Can you talk? Should you talk? Are you uncomfortable the whole time because there is a shining bright light? I would certainly like to know details like these before I sign on to do it.

You may want to review this patient's Lasik experience.
