LASEK recovery

Postby Schade805 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 7:58 pm

Odd question here, but where else to ask...? I'm 3 weeks post-surgery.
I think it is possible that during my assessment, they incorrectly determined my dominant eye, there was some confusion. Do you think that would make a difference in my vision during recovery? One eye seems very well far-distance, and OK near-distance, while the other sees very well near and not very well far. When making their calculations, does the surgeon generally tune one eye into near vision (dominant or non-dominant), and the other into further vision? (No, I didn't have a monovision procedure).
Or am I just making excuses for a lagging recovery in one eye?
Thank you!

If full correction of refractive error is what is desired, the target for both eyes would be 'plano', or no refractive error. It is common for one eye to heal differently than the other.
