Flap or cornea evasiveness-

Postby mike r » Thu Feb 15, 2007 1:11 am

I am intensifying my interest of complications in regards to the greater evasiveness to the cornea or flap procedures(ie laser assisted flaps and direct laser applications on the cornea face) and the frequency of members ongoing problems...I have not seen as significant amount of complaints with the blade...This has my interest...

I hope anyone that reads and shares makes others aware of what there procedure was with prescription and there results...So we can factor in any common underlying characteristics.

This could be advantageous to others choices of procedure...

I wonder what procedure Glenn would have??? I know he would go with the surface treatment with a not so bad prescription but what about a borderline poor prescription???

Laser flap or blade Glenn bring it on???

Ladar, Visx, allegretto or other???

would the prescription dictate to many variables???

Just toss us a crumb or to of personal preference...

I went with the procedure recommend by my USAEyes.org certified surgeon based upon my unique circumstances after a comprehensive examination and discussion of available options, which was PRK. My experience and the recommendation for my surgery may have little or no bearing upon what is best for someone else. Every person is unique.

Experience and recommendation aside...

just personal preference???

or is beyond a moderators boundaries choosing one technology over another...

I would like to test how restricted your bias may be essentially also.
