Dry eyes

Postby FLOPGUY » Sun Feb 18, 2007 11:09 pm

I am just at the three month mark. I still have the dry eyes at this point. Is it unusual to have dry eyes more so in one eye than the other? My left eye is my dominant eye, but it also is way more dry than my right eye. I realize that with all this cold weather and heating units sucking the moisture out of the air, thinks are bad more.

Thanks for all your help Glenn, I spend much more time in here reading than writing, so just want to blurt that out.

It is not unsusual for one eye to heal differently than the other and to heal at a different rate. One eye feeling more dry (a known Lasik problem) than the other is relatively common.

The vast majority of Lasik patients have thier dry eye resolve by six months postop, but not everyone, and you may need to agressively treat the dry eye to promote healing.
