Contacts after Lasik

Postby cbashamla » Tue Nov 07, 2006 9:24 pm

My Lasik was done one year ago at Thanksgiving. I had enhancements done in June and July. Neither enhancement gave me perfect vision. I still have residual astigmatism with ghosting. Night driving is a nightmare because of the ghosting. I see two of every light out there. The lights merge into one as I get closer. I have started wearing glasses which have helped tremendously.

My Question: Is too soon since my enhancement to wear contacts? It has been a little over 3 months. Is that long enough for the flap to heal so I can get out of these glasses?

Thanks,
Cathy

You should probably be able to wear contact lenses. Ask your doctor for a fitting of the disposable type. That way you don't mess with cleaning and if used appropriately the risk of infection or damage should be small.
