My Dmv visit today...

Postby mike r » Mon Jan 22, 2007 9:04 pm

I went for driver license renewal today. A nice practical test for the new eyes. First they made me sign a document stating I was nt a child molestor then on to the eye test.
First was asked to take out contacts. Said I didnt have any then he had me read all the letters with both eyes. CAKE!. Then never knew they checked both eyes independently. Well the reader eye was found out about bad bad bad... I was guessing my best and eeked out enough right letters to get by. Then back to both eyes again.

I didnt end up with a restriction. I dont know how but hope that eye holds up until the next visit.GEEZ!!!

I never mentioned lasik left well enough alone.

Most states require 20/40 or better distance vision with both eyes to have an unrestricted license. Some have restrictions on each eye. Everyone who has monovision runs into this situation.
