dry eyes and burning sensations in my eyes

Postby GeneralPatientInquiry » Wed Jun 14, 2006 5:32 am

Hello, I had Lasik eye correction about 3 years ago. And since then ive suffered from dry eyes and burning sensations in my eyes, my Doc told me it can take up to a year for it to heal completely, well its been 3 years now and the dryness seems to have gone away but i still have constant burning in my eyes. its horrible to live with this. ive tried artifical tears and those dont work at all. Ive seen my eye doctor on this and all he does is prescribe me some new artificial tears, im sick of him. Is there any surgery or anything at all i can do to stop this burning eyes? Thanx

We have a detailed article on dry eyes and Lasik at Lasik Dry Eyes. You may find treatments there that you have not used. It sounds like instead of a LASIK surgeon, you need to seek the assistance of a dry eye specialist.
