Question about vision and dry eye

Postby Betty39 » Fri Oct 26, 2007 1:47 am

One question I could never get my doctor to explain to me is that why when my eyes felt so severly dry and even now are mildly dry, how come since day 1 has my vision been so good? I'm not complaining, but isn't a symptom of dry eye blurry vision? And in the beginning my eyes were horribly dry, yet the great vision was there. It made no since to me. And my doctor's response was, "don't complain". Could it be because my quality of tears was good even though the quantity was low? Am I just extra sensitive to the burning feeling of dry eyes?

I guess having dry eyes with good vision is better than having lubricated eyes with poor vision, but I really don't have an answer for you other than you may be extra sensitive to the feeling of dry eyes.
