What procedure is safe after RK

Postby cgrigar » Fri Jan 18, 2008 7:58 pm

I had RK surgery in 1987 and am now at 46 years old experiencing blurred vision for close up and computer distance. Is Lasik safe and possible to perform now to correct my eyes?

Lasik after RK can be possible, however much depends upon how well your RK incisions have healed. A surface ablation technique like PRK may be a safer approach. You would need a comprehensive evaluation by a competent doctor to know for sure.
