Pupil Size Question

I was just reading an article about how Pupil size tends to shrink with age. Any truth to this statement? Could this actually be beneficial for young post-op lasik/prk patients who experience starbursts/halos/etc. because of pupil size outside of the treatment zone?

There are many advantages to smaller pupil size including a greater depth of focus and reduced vision problems if there are aberrations at the outer edge of the eye's optics. This would included people who have night vision problems after Lasik.
