PRK Light Sensitivity

Postby schryer3 » Mon Mar 10, 2008 8:06 pm

It's been a month since I had PRK. My vision is alright (not perfect) but I have really bad light sensitivity where I can't go without wearing my sunglasses...even inside. Did anyone else experience this?

Photophobia (light sensitivity) is not exactly common, but is a know short-term problem after laser vision correction. Photophobia can be exacerbated or caused by a reaction to the medicated eye drops you need after surgery. DO NOT STOP taking your medications, but report your problems to your surgeon who can evaluate your situation with examination.
