Surgery on just one eye...

Postby Flyer31 » Tue Apr 15, 2008 6:22 pm

I am 38 and went to get a 3 consults. I am -2 (nearsighted) in both eyes. I was told that in a few years I'd need reading glasses. To try to eliminate that I was told that I could have surgery to make my dominant eye 20/20 or better and leave the other alone. Has anyone heard of this?

This is called monovision and you need to read our article about its effect. You really must try monovision with contact lenses before having it lasered into your eyes.
