allergic eye to Refresh Plus

One more note. My doctor recommended Refresh Plus eye drops to use after surgery. After using for awhile, the inside of my eyelids began to burn. I finally found an article online that said you can develop an allergy to methylcellulose (which is in Refresh Plus and Celluvisc). I changed to the old Refresh eye drops that do not contain this ingredient, and no more burning!! I was irritating my eyes the same as if I were using a drop with a preservative.

Be sure to let your doctors know of this allergy as it may be very important with future treatment.

All eye drops have slightly different formulas and some simply don't agree with everybody.
