Daniel Goldberg, MD, FACS
Dr. Daniel Goldberg specializes in comprehensive
refractive surgery including LASIK eye surgery and refractive
intraocular lens and cataract surgery. Named by other eye
physicians as one of the best doctors in America, and recognized
regionally as one of the best doctors in New Jersey by NJ
Monthly and NY Metro, Dr. Daniel Goldberg pioneered laser
vision correction in New Jersey and has 30 years of experience
in refractive surgery. Dr. Goldberg has performed over 10,000
LASIK eye surgery procedures. Based in Monmouth County,
New Jersey, Dr. Goldberg has performed LASIK on patients
worldwide and was a member of the elite team of doctors
who performed clinical trials of LASIK in its early stages.
This research led to FDA approval of LASIK.
Dr. Goldberg has also published
original research to advance laser treatments and regularly
speaks about LASIK surgery to audiences In Monmouth County,
New Jersey, and around the country. He personally sees every
patient considering surgery and follows up with regular
patient check-ups for a year following surgery. Dr. Daniel
Goldberg comes from a family of physicians and trained with
two of the world’s leading cornea and cataract surgeons.
He completed a cornea research fellowship and continues
to publish and lecture extensively.
Dr. Daniel Goldberg is one of a select
few eye surgeons to consistently use the newest and best
technology and techniques as LASIK eye surgery has advanced;
he has been the first to introduce numerous LASIK eye surgery
technologies to Monmouth County. He recently became the
first New Jersey (and Monmouth County) eye surgeon to use
the implantable contact lens (ICL) – a new technology to
correct nearsightedness in individuals with extremely high
prescriptions. Dr Goldberg pioneered the use of Intralase,
or all-laser LASIK, and Atlantic Laser Vision Center was
one of 2 centers on the East Coast to bring this breakthrough
technology to our patients in 2002.
Dr. Daniel Goldberg has a rare dual
certification from both the Council for Refractive Surgery
Quality Assurance (an independent, nonprofit, patient and
consumer health organization that evaluates and verifies
the quality of the surgeries provided by select refractive
surgeons in the United States), and the American College
of Eye Surgeons.
