USAEyes Funding

lasik
The nonprofit USAEyes is funded by fees charged to doctors for certification of patient outcomes.

The USAEyes website and associated public services are provided by the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance (CRSQA). CRSQA is a nongovernmental, nonprofit, tax exempt organization.

CRSQA requires fees collected from doctors we for whom we certify patient outcomes. Initial patient outcome certification costs the doctor $3,250. We reevaluate doctors quarterly. The quarterly recertification fees are $1,250. We feel it is appropriate that certified doctors participate in the funding of CRSQA's services.

CRSQA does not charge patients for services provided, does not accept charitable contributions, and does not accept commercial advertising All operating funds are derived from patient outcome certification fees.

Surgeons do not pay CRSQA referral fees or a finder's fee for patients who use CRSQA's Locate Lasik Doctor service. We do not receive a payment for each patient who uses a USAEyes Certified Lasik Doctor. We do not receive a payment for each visit to a doctor's website from our website, nor are we paid for each person who retrieves a doctor's information from our website. There is no direct quid pro quo for patient activity. There is virtually no direct financial incentive for a patient to seek surgery or a particular doctor.

All members of CRSQA's governing Board of Trustees, advisory committees, and even staff are volunteers who do not receive a salary for their work and assistance.

There is no charge for the services USAEyes provides, but anyone can "pay" for our help with their opinion. Let others know about our organization's services by adding a link to USAEyes on your own website and/or add a link in a blog or post on other bulletin boards.
