website of the Council for Refractive Surgery Quality Assurance
has been accredited by the Health On the Net Foundation (HON). HON
is the leading organization promoting and guiding the deployment
of useful and reliable online medical and health information, and
its appropriate and efficient use. Created in 1995, HON is a non-profit,
non-governmental organization based in Geneva and accredited to
the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
"The process to attain accreditation required nearly a year of
analysis and review to verify that the USAEyes website operates
within the HON’s eight primary requirements," says Glenn Hagele,
Executive Director and founder of the Council for Refractive
Surgery Quality Assurance that operates the USAEyes.org
website.

Confidentiality of data relating to individual patients and visitors
to a medical/health Web site, including their identity, is respected
by this Web site. The Web site owners undertake to honor or exceed
the legal requirements of medical/health information privacy that
apply in the country and state where the Web site and mirror sites
are located.
