I have worn them for over 30 years. Or was I just born that way? That was a question that I didn't think to ask the place I went to, that told me that my corneas were too thin for Lasik.

Yes, long term use of low Dk/t Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) lenses has been shown to cause corneal thinning.
Depending upon the thickness of your corneas and your amount of error to be corrected, you may be an appropriate candidate for a surface ablation technique like
PRK,
LASEK, or
Epi-Lasik.

The amount of oxygen that can pass through the lens. A higher DK number means more oxygen. Lower number means the cornea can be starved for oxygen.

If you have been doing it for 30 years you may have gone through many different technologies.
