Monovision/blended vision difference?

Postby ali50 » Fri Jun 17, 2011 5:19 pm

Some UK clinics market blended vision as different from monovision. They claim to be able to treat areas of the cornea differently so both eyes have some distance vision and some close vision. Is this feasible or a marketing ploy? Finding it hard to choose a London or UK surgeon / reliable clinic - any recommendations gratefully received. I have been to several consultations and been found suitable for Lasik. Will have to decide between having distance corrected or monovision. I am shortsighted and at the age where my near vision is deteriorating so considering monovision / blended vision as an option.
