Wavefront overcorrected

Postby GeneralPatientInquiry » Wed May 31, 2006 5:34 am

Had Wavefront Lasik six weeks ago, was overcorrected, am now farsighted was nearsighted, within the next 2 wks they want to schedule an enhancement to make me nearsighted as my eyes have not changed since surgery and are stable. Is this too soon for enhancement?

One can say that it is always too soon for enhancement surgery, and its never too late.

If the eyes are stable, enhancements can be performed. I personally believe two weeks is too soon for an actual enhancement. If you can handle the poor vision, I would recommend waiting until at least three months postop, but first ask your doctor why there is such a rush. There may be an important legitimate reason why a quick enhancement is better. When in doubt, wait. You can always have an enhancement later.
