Living a nightmare! FLOATERS now...

Postby ltess » Tue May 18, 2010 2:50 pm

Kudos for the people that claim LASIK was the best money they ever spent. LASIK was the worst money I ever spent.

Of all the other issues I have experienced: Halos, Glare, Starbursts(even in daylight), dry eye, and horrific headaches. NOW I have the pleasure of FLOATERS! I just love the feeling of living in a fish tank with amoeba swimming around.

Will the floaters EVER go away? AM I doomed forever?!? It is like something new happens every week.

My LASIK was done on March 26, 2010. The day I threw my eye sight away.

Sorry for the rant I am having a bad week with my wonderful new LASIK eyes. I go to the doctor for my 6 week checkup tomorrow. Maybe I should just let him have it!

I'm someone who feels like Lasik is the worse money I ever spent as well!!!! If only I could go back in time.....

I'm not as bad off as you. For me its bad dry eye that's killing me. I have halos at night that hasn't gone away (tolerable though). And to top it all off, I still have residual astigmatism. This is 6 months for me.

DO NOT do anything rash regarding your doc!!!!!

I am not a doctor but I do know that you are early in the healing phase. One thing that I will strongly suggest is to seek out a Lasik specialist and get a second opinion on your condition. Do not lay your faith in your Lasik surgeon. A specialist who isn't involved in your original surgery can give you an honest 2nd opinion. At least you'll know where you stand; good or bad. What's your geographic location?
