Need dry eye specialist referral, please!

Postby ps2001 » Tue Oct 30, 2007 6:17 pm

I've been suffering from a bad case of dry eyes since laser surgery 2 years ago. I've been working with an opthamologist, and have tried pretty much everything for dry eye care. But, no relief in sight and desperate.

If anyone has had success with his/her dry eye specialist, please let me have the name of your doctor. While Southern California (anywhere in counties of San Diego, Orange, Riverside, Los Angeles) is preferred, I will go anywhere for a good doctor. Thank you for help!

We do not have a listing for dry eye specialists, but we have an article about Lasik and dry eye and an article about dry eye treatment that you may find helpful.

Sorry for your suffering. I am 4 months post lasik and also still having issues with dry eyes, but you are 2 years out, wow.

I have been getting some relief from warm, damp compresses on my eyes twice a day (a clean washcloth soaked in hot water for a minute, wrung really dry, folded in three, and placed over my closed eyes). In addition, my dr. prescribed Alrex, a wek steroid drop, and that helps also. In addition, I also use Restasis and lots of different drops - Refresh Plus, Celuvisc at night, and Endura. I also take Advil if my left eye is throbbing too much.

This is a helpful dry eye web site: ... doctor.htm

Good luck --
