Had IT A While Ago

I am 53 years old and had lasix surgery almost 7 years ago. I was -5.5 os and -6.0 od. Within the first year my vision regressed so I had enhancement surgery in my left eye. I opted for monovision due to my age and I was somewhat presbyopic. Since then, my right eye has regressed, My left eye has regressed even further. My vision is now -1.00 os and -1.50 od. Is it unusual to regress after a touch up? My opthamologist said that it would be too risky to do more surgery now because the flap would not be able to be lifted safely and cutting a new flap could make my vision worse. He also said at my age that I would probably soon be dealing with cataracts and that I should leave things the way they are. Is there a surgery that would be safe at this stage? Would wearing the overnight contacts to flatten the cornea be an option?
