Considering LASIK-What measurements should I ask Doctor for?

I am considering LASIK and have already had a couple of consultations. Both doctors tell me I am a good candidate. According to one doctor my pupils are a little large (7 and 7.5). I guess I am somewhat afraid as I hear many horror stories. What measurements should I ask of the doctor to ensure I am a good candidate?
