searching for answers

Hi
I had Lasik surgery in March 2008 and there were complications; I’m having binocular fusions problems, double vision, blurred vision, Increased Nystagmus- room spins when scanning the room left to right and Vertigo type symptoms. I had 5 Lasik surgeries and 1 Strabismus surgery to date. I’m a 42 year old Male and I have worn glasses all my life. I was born with Asymmetric-Latent Nystagmus with a strong null position and Strabismus (extropia-out and hypertropia-up).I had surgery when I was two. My prescription was dilated at(R) +3.00/-4.75x180=20/50 (L)+2.00/-2.75x180=20/30. Would any of these conditions have excluded me from Lasik surgery? If not would I have been of higher risk than others?

I have 4 children and I’m struggling to keep my sanity I desperately need to know if this could have been predicted and therefore avoided. Please I need some feedback.

Your moderate hyperopia and high astigmatism make you a less than ideal candidate. What's your current prescription now and how well do glasses help? How much did your previous enhancements help?

Hi,

I just found out that I had been surpresing double vision my hole life but I didn,t know it and sence Lasik I can now feel the effects of convergence insuffiency. Is convergence insuffiency a contrindication and could they have been able to know i was surpressing doulbe vision before surgery.
