I had my 6 month checkup today. I had Custom Vue Wavefront LAISK my contact rx was -5.75 right eye and -5.25 left eye with 7mm pupils. I am still experiencing halos, starbursts, glare. My starbursts have not gotten even a tiny bit better.
My doctor immediately begin talking fast and trying to reassure me everything is normal once I began to ask questions. I wanted to scream that I am not going to bring a lawsuit, I just want answers!!
I told him I have increased floaters since the 1st month after surgery and denied that LASIK can cause this. He set me up an appt with the Retinal specialist to have the floaters checked out. He then did admit that I have a FEW minor wrinkles but that they were so small and my vision is so good that they shouldn't be fixed or worried about. (Is this true)? He also said everyone who has LASIK has some type of small wrinkles ???? I might add that at my 8 week checkup he told me I had not wrinkles.
The questions I have:
1) Could the wrinkles be causing the starbursts and halos to continue? Will the wrinkles get better?
2) Should I bother to see the Retinal specialist or is that a waste of money?
3) He said I now have a tiny Astigmatism in my left eye. He said it shows that I had a small one on my wavefront map before surgery. BUT I did not have it after the surgery only now at my 6 month checkup. This is concerning me.
4) I have starbursts in the bright sunlight...Isn't that unusual??
UGGGhhhh...Why did I ever do this to myself???
Thanks for any feedback it all help,
Lora
