Stem Cell research??

Is there any stem cell research for cornea replacement that anyone out there have heard of?? I read where stem cell research is being done relative to eyes, but do not know if the cornea is part of that research.

My son had a botched Lasik surgery about five years ago which destroyed his left eye. Quack doctor performed TWO enhancements on the eye, it has greatly impacted his life . He has been out of work for two years and I think the eye problem is affecting his ability to gain employment. Thanks, Dan
