Numbers question

Postby It's Just Me » Sun Apr 19, 2009 1:52 am

I've seen on the boards here........

"I was 7.75 in one eye and 7.50 in the other..."

What does that mean? How does that correlate to "20/30" or "20/375" etc.

I'm used to seeing astigmatism expressed as -2.25 (mine before lasik) and 20/- so that is confusing me.

Hi Just Me,
I was really wondering that myself and hopefully someone will enlighten us soon. I have always used the 20/20 thingie, so really not sure about the way they do it on here.
